Accessibility at shrinQ
We want shrinQ to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. This page explains what we aim for, where we are, and how to tell us when something doesn't work.
Last updated: May 2026
Our commitment
shrinQ targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA (opens in a new tab). WCAG is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and by Section 508 in the United States, and by similar laws in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.
We design and build with accessibility as part of the work, not as a later fix. That includes keyboard support, screen-reader support, sufficient color contrast, support for browser zoom up to 400%, support for reduced motion, and clear focus indicators on every interactive element.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML with named landmarks for navigation, main content, and footer.
- A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Visible focus indicators that meet contrast requirements on both light and dark backgrounds.
- Body text and interactive controls meeting WCAG AA color contrast (4.5:1 and 3:1).
- Form fields with real labels, autocomplete hints, and announced errors.
- Interactive components (accordions, toggles, status messages) with appropriate ARIA roles and live regions.
- Support for browser zoom and pinch-zoom on mobile, without trapping content.
- Honoring the operating-system "reduce motion" preference for animations.
- Plain-language writing throughout the program and the marketing pages.
Known limitations
We test the site with keyboard, with the macOS and iOS VoiceOver screen reader, and with automated tools. No site is perfect. If you find a barrier we haven't listed here, please tell us and we will treat it as a priority.
Third-party content embedded on the site, such as a checkout provider or an external book retailer, may not meet the same standards as the pages we build ourselves. We choose vendors with accessibility in mind and will provide an accessible alternative wherever we can.
Tell us about a problem
If something on shrinQ is hard to use, broken with your assistive technology, or blocks you from completing what you came to do, please write to us at [email protected]. Include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using, if you can. We aim to respond within five business days.
If you would prefer not to email, you can reach the general team through any contact link on the site, and they will route the message to us.
