The overthinking self-check

A two-minute self-check. It won't diagnose anything. It will show you the shape of your own pattern, because each kind of loud needs a different first move. Answer for how things have actually been, not how you wish they were.

Part A. How loud is it right now?

Tap each line that's true for you today.

Part B. Which shape is your loop?

Loops run in four shapes. Pick the one that sounds most like you. Most people are mostly one shape, with a little of another.

Whatever shape yours is, the engine underneath is the same. Your body shifts, your brain explains the shift, your reaction feeds the body, and the loop tightens. The shape just tells you where to step in first.

Each shape has its own named pattern in the Pattern Library, and how the shrinQ system works walks through the four moves I use to interrupt any of them. When you want the full structure, the shrinQ program is where I teach it.

Why a self-check, not a quiz score. The four shapes draw on how anxiety, panic, low mood, and rumination are understood in clinical practice. This isn't a diagnostic instrument, and the count in Part A isn't a severity rating. It's a structured way to notice your own pattern, which is the first thing the program teaches you to do.
